Yes. Need protocol “Modbus RTU over TCP”.

WB-MGE does not support Modbus TCP, only Modbus RTU over TCP.

The more expensive version of WB-MGE supporting Modbus TCP is available on request.

I also have bought one WB-MIO-E together with a WBIO-DI-WD-14 to test . This device also does not suppoert Modbus TCP ?

Yes. It also supports Modbus RTU over TCP only.

Could you please tell what PLC do you use? Looks like most of modern PLC should support Modbus RTU over TCP as well as Modbus TCP.
